Attic conversion Pyrkergasse Vienna

In Vienna's Döbling district, three additional storeys were added to a historic 19th century building. The result: 16 high-quality flats with modern balconies and views of newly designed garden areas.

Schöck Isokorb® IQlick - the predecessor of today's Isokorb® IQ - was used for the thermal separation and the quick, uncomplicated installation of the prefabricated balconies. This system enables flexible assembly in terms of construction time, with the balcony elements being clicked and screwed into place directly without scaffolding or supports. The balconies are structurally loadable and ready for use within a few minutes.

The combination of timber-concrete composite ceilings and the Isokorb IQlick system ensured a smooth construction process. The prefabricated assembly significantly reduced the construction time and lowered the costs - a decisive advantage in the face of rising construction prices.

The project shows how innovative building products and prefabricated construction methods can be used to create living space in the city efficiently and sustainably.
