Combar® is electrically non-conductive. This means that the reinforcement does not heat up due to induction and stray currents and energy losses are avoided.

    Induction currents cause heating and expansion of the steel reinforcement and higher susceptibility to corrosion of the reinforcing steel; these defects do not occur with Combar®

     

  • Straightforward fabrication
    Using Combar® avoids complex insulation of the steel reinforcing bar junctions; in terms of processing there are only minimal differences between Combar® and reinforcing steel
