Together with ROCKWOOL, Schöck has developed an energy-efficient refurbishment solution for back-ventilated curtain wall façades (VCWF):
The existing ETICS is retained, does not need to be uninstalled or disposed of and, because a VCWF is installed in front of it, becomes highly energy efficient. This not only offers benefits when carrying out refurbishment work – the old ETICS can also be taken into account when recalculating the thermal transmittance of the wall.
- Highly cost-effective - No time-consuming uninstallation and disposal of ETICS; thickness of thermal insulation is reduced while retaining the same wall thermal transmittance; thickness of insulation layer is reduced by roughly 50 % which frees up space in the interior  -
- Tested safety - Tested and approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) as confirmed by a type approval; satisfies the fire protection requirements of building classes 1-5 as set out in the federal state building regulations (LBO); non-combustible insulation made of Fixrock rock wool manufactured by ROCKWOOL with melting point ≥ 1,000 °C -
- Verified eco-balance data
Supplied with environmental product declaration (EPD) by the German Institute for Construction and the Environment (IBU)
 -
- Passive House component
Certified by Passive House Institute in Darmstadt
 -
- Thermal bridge-free fastening - Theoretically eliminates thermal bridges due to exceptionally low thermal conductivity of 0.7 W/(m · K) -
- Versatile - For all standard VCWF substructures; for anchorage in concrete and masonry; straightforward installation with approved bonding mortar without special tool
